I'm really looking forward to this. The 'reboot' has given Trek a fresh perspective. Gary Mitchell as the villain, hmmm? Like Bond films, Trek films need a good villain to work well(Khan, Christopher Lloyd and Christopher Plummer as the Klingon captains). Well, I suppose it could work out. I think that May next year the film is released in the UK. I think it will be worthwhile watching it in IMAX as well. This type of film lends itself well to that.

While we wait for Star Trek Into Darkness...
The superb TNG episode The Best of Both Worlds is coming to movie theaters as a 2-hour movie event. The event takes place April 25 at 7pm. Here is a link to Fathom Events with more details: The Best of Both Worlds.

Good news for UK residents, Star Trek : Into the Darkness will be released in the UK at a slightly earlier date, it will be on these shores by the 9th of May.

It will be in IMAX 3D, regular 3D and 2D. Bah, I was just hoping for a normal IMAX relase rather than a 3D one, but okay I can live with it.
